Notes For Visually Impaired Users
Q. Why does it tell me my email is already in use when I go to create an account?
A. You may already have an account set up for that email address. Enter your email address and password into the fields in the 'Login' section and click the 'Login' button. If you forgot your password, you can request a reminder on the Password Reminder Page. It may be that there is an issue with your email and/or password. Make sure there aren't any special characters, such as apostrophes ('), in either.
Q. I typed in my email address password (twice), and then hit enter, but nothing happened.
A. After entering in your email address, password, and password confirmation, click on the 'Create Account' button.
Q. Why does it tell me my email is already in use when I go to log in?
A. You may be entering in your email address and password in the 'Create an Account' section. Make sure to enter your email address and password in the 'Log In' section, and then click the 'Log In' button.
Q. I know I had an account when I last took the training, but now I'm receiving an "Invalid e-mail address or password" message when I try to log in. What do I need to do?
A. You may need to recreate your account. User accounts are purged 6 months after the user has completed the course.
Q. I've reached the first page of the training, but I'm not sure what to do next. Help!
A. You may need to scroll down to see the 'Previous' or 'Next' button. Click 'Next' to go to the next page of the training. Click 'Previous' to go to the previous page.
Q. I can't see all the content of the page I'm currently on.
A. Make sure to use the scollbar, located on the right side of the training window, and scroll DOWN in order to see the rest of the content.
Completing the Retention Checks
Q. Every time I take the Retention Check and hit 'Submit,' it brings me back to the same page, and I have to re-enter all of my answers!
A. You need to answer every question on the Retention Checks in order to advance. Make sure to use the scrollbar located at the right-hand side of the training window in order to scroll down and see the rest of the questions.
Q. Can you email me my certificate?
A. You can have your certficate emailed to you by going to the 'Options' page and selecting the 'Email My Certificate' button. Conversely, you can select the 'View My Certificate' button to open the certificate in your browser or save it to disk.
Q. I tried to open my certificate, but it wouldn't display anything.
A. Please make sure you are using the latest version of Adobe Reader, which can be obtained from their website.
Q. I'm an attorney seeking MCLE credit for taking the local ethics course. How do I go about obtaining that?
A. You will need to complete both the primary and supplementary training sections. Then, you can proceed to the Options page in order to obtain your MCLE certificate.
Q. I finished the training in 1 hour and 48 minutes. Isn't that close enough? Is there anything you can do for me?
A. We have added supplemental content in case you'd like to bolster your time. That may help you meet the 2 hour requirement. If you've already taken the supplemental training, and are still under 2 hours, you will need to speak with the ethics officer at your agency regarding how to meet your ethics obligation.

If you use JAWS as your screen reading software, to navigate to the previous training page press Alt + B. To navigate to the next training page Press Alt + N then press Ctrl + Home to move to the top of the page and Insert + Down Arrow to start reading.
